Trailer Security
At Cater N Sure we know you are going to look after your catering trailer, that’s why we have worked closely with insurers on security measures that are practical and affordable.
We appreciate your time is valued and in a further commitment to offer hassle free catering insurance, you do not need to send us pictures of your catering trailer or write to us with the details of the hitch lock & wheel clamp (we recommend you keep pictures and receipts for security devices in case of a claim).
We do not ask for a Tracker to be fitted unless the catering trailer is valued over £25,000 and accept the Datatag marking system that can be fitted by yourself, meaning your catering trailer is not off the road losing you money.
Irrespective of the trailers value, if you have Datatag/Thiefbeaters or a Tracking system fitted and want theft cover we will reduce your premium by upto 22.5%.
If your mobile catering trailer is kept away from home, whilst we like it to be in a locked and secured compound we do not specify the height of the fence!
Should you catering trailer be permanently sited (i.e. never towed) we can also still offer you insurance without unworkable restrictions on location and security.
Our security terms for Mobile catering trailers are:-
- Values upto £15,000 key operated hitch lock & wheel clamp
- Values upto £25,000 key operated hitch lock, wheel clamp & Datatag or Thiefbeaters
- Values over £25,000 key operated hitch lock, wheel clamp & Tracker
Hitch locks must be key operated where the key can be identified by its own unique number. Wheel clamps must be “ heavy duty”, we do not have a requirement for a British Standard wheel clamp.
